The following map links will open maps with specific types of information on them.  The maps and mapped information are from the NWT Centre for Geomatics.  The map is interactive, so you can zoom in and out, ‘pan’ or move around, and even turn layers on and off.  Those who are more technologically inclined can also add other data and do simple queries.

The wildlife map has shapes that show the range of many important animals, plus extra information such as mineral licks.  It does not have caribou information on it, as caribou have their own map.

The caribou map has the range of the different herds and types of caribou.

This map has the ranges of the different birds that are considered to be at risk.

This map has information about development permits, oil and gas leases, wells, pipelines, hydrocarbon plays, and forest fires.
