Ky SRRB WebsiteKyanna Lennie-Dolphus is Shuhtagǫt’ine (Mountain Dene), Treaty 11, born and raised in the Northwest Territories. Growing up in the Sahtú Region, she attended Chief Albert Wright School in her home community of Tulı́t’a, NT. She began working for the SRRB in June 2025 as the Research Intern. Previously, she worked with the SRRB from April 2018 to June 2020 as a Receptionist, Nı́o Nę P’ęnę Coordinator Intern, and as one of the Youth Speakers representing her region.

She then went on to gain further experience in self-government in Délı̨nę, NT with the Délı̨nę Got’ı̨nę Government as an Executive Assistant, as well as exploring other opportunities such as serving as the Sahtú Kaowe Project Manager before rejoining the SRRB.

Kyanna finds purpose in work that connects her to the land and the people of the Sahtú, especially through her interactions with Elders and Youth. She has been involved in numerous projects over the years and is currently engaged in fieldwork for the Petroleum Histories Project, serving as a Youth Champion for the Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources, and contributing as a co-author to a proposed article for the journal Social Science & Medicine.
