Donna Schear, Acting Chair Print

Donna SchearDonna Schear is Sahtúgot'ı̨nę (person from Great Bear Lake), grew up in Alberta and moved to Délı̨nę, Northwest Territories (NWT) when she finished high school. She currently resides in Yellowknife and is employed as an Engagement Specialist with the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board. Her educational background is the completion of the courses required for the Land Agent/Land Administration Diploma program from Olds College and a one-year Land Administration MACA program from Arctic College. Throughout her career with Indigenous, federal, and territorial governments, oil and gas operations, land management, safety and environmental protection and regulatory compliance brings and unique prospective. During her time in Délı̨nę, she was fortunate to spend time with her grandfather, the late Isadore Yukon, brother and partner which gave her a passion for the land and its teachings.  She currently sits as a member of the Délı̨nę Dene K’ǝ Dats’eredı Kǝ (Justice Council) for the 2nd term. Donna is looking forward to working with the SRRB and the knowledge she will gain.
