Norm Simmons worked as a biologist for the Canadian Wildlife Service from 1965-1975, during which time he conducted field research on Dall’s Sheep and mountain woodland caribou in the Mackenzie Mountains, with a base camp on the Keele River. He plotted wildlife observations on map overlays which were digitized by the Sahtu GIS Office, GNWT., Dalls Sheep Collected
