pdf 20-02-08 Colville 2020 Public Listening Update - Deadline Extension Popular

The SRRB has received a request from NWT Environment and Natural Resources for an extension of the deadline for Final Arguments. This is in order to provide additional time for review of new evidence that is expected to be included in the record for the Public Listening Session on February 10. To allow the Parties time to review this new evidence, the SRRB has agreed to extend the deadline for Final Arguments by two days, to Wednesday, February 12. As of 12:00 am on February 13, the record for the Public Listening Session will be closed. All submissions will be posted to the Public Registry on February 13.

The Ɂehdzo Got’ı̨nę Gots’ę́ Nákedı (Sahtú Renewable Resources Board – SRRB) regrets to inform the Parties and the public that due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board has decided to change delivery of the Colville 2020 Public Listening Report to the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources by one month, to April 30, 2020.

The Board reminds Parties in the hearing that section 13.8.24(b) of the Sahtú Dene and Métis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (SDMCLCA) provides that, unless the Minister directs otherwise, the SRRB’s Final Report will remain confidential for a period of 60 days, or until June 29, 2020.

This notice informs the Public that the Ɂehdzo Got’ı̨nę Gots’ę̨́ Nákedı (Sahtú Renewable Resources Board – SRRB) is unable to complete its report by April 30 due to constraints arising from the current Covid19 situation. It also announces that the audio recordings for the Public Listening proceedings are available on the Public Registry (www.srrb.nt.ca), in the dialects of the Sahtú including Délı̨nę, Shúhta, K'áalǫ, K'áhsho, and Dehlá. The Tłı̨chǫ and English audio files are available upon request.
