This letter invites Sahtú Government Leaders and Ɂehdzo Got'ı̨ nę Leaders to attend a Community Conservation Planning Workshop, November 5-7, 2019 in Colville Lake. This event is a preparation for the Public Listening Session on Sahtú ragóɂa (hunting laws) and approaches to wildlife harvesting.
This note highlights changes made to the SRRB's Hearing Rules, outlines key questions ("scope" of the hearing) and informs the public of a deadline extension to register as a Party.
This letter contains a list of register Parties, it also informs the public the Board will be considering late Party registrations. The letter also provides details of the first Pre-Public Listening Session Teleconference for Parties and those seeking Party status.
This document has been amended. The monitoring tables have been posted to the Public Registry, but status information remains confidential pending approval by Member Boards of the ACCWM (Advisory Committee for Wildlife Management). The finalized monitoring tables were provided to the SRRB and other Member Boards on December 1, and posted on this registry on December 10.

This update provides Round 2 Information Requests based on information received from the Parties to date related to the central question of the Colville 2020 Public Listening Session: “What is the most effective way to regulate the harvest of caribou?” The deadline for all responses to Round 2 IRs is January 13, 2020. The SRRB wishes to thank all the Parties and the public for their contributions to the Colville 2020 Public Listening Session. The Board is now preparing for our decision meeting on February 11-13. As a result, the public record for this proceeding will close on February 10, 2020. The Board is only able to consider evidence that is included in the record. This update provides information related to evidence following from the January Public Listening Session, including:
The SRRB has received a request from NWT Environment and Natural Resources for an extension of the deadline for Final Arguments. This is in order to provide additional time for review of new evidence that is expected to be included in the record for the Public Listening Session on February 10. To allow the Parties time to review this new evidence, the SRRB has agreed to extend the deadline for Final Arguments by two days, to Wednesday, February 12. As of 12:00 am on February 13, the record for the Public Listening Session will be closed. All submissions will be posted to the Public Registry on February 13.

The Ɂehdzo Got’ı̨nę Gots’ę́ Nákedı (Sahtú Renewable Resources Board – SRRB) regrets to inform the Parties and the public that due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board has decided to change delivery of the Colville 2020 Public Listening Report to the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources by one month, to April 30, 2020.
The Board reminds Parties in the hearing that section 13.8.24(b) of the Sahtú Dene and Métis Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (SDMCLCA) provides that, unless the Minister directs otherwise, the SRRB’s Final Report will remain confidential for a period of 60 days, or until June 29, 2020.
This notice informs the Public that the Ɂehdzo Got’ı̨nę Gots’ę̨́ Nákedı (Sahtú Renewable Resources Board – SRRB) is unable to complete its report by April 30 due to constraints arising from the current Covid19 situation. It also announces that the audio recordings for the Public Listening proceedings are available on the Public Registry (www.srrb.nt.ca), in the dialects of the Sahtú including Délı̨nę, Shúhta, K'áalǫ, K'áhsho, and Dehlá. The Tłı̨chǫ and English audio files are available upon request.
